ComfortLite 2 headgear with ComfortLite parts?

Postby falvesjr on Wed Nov 04, 2009 6:23 pm

Has anyone tried to put the airflow parts from a ComfortLite mask on the headgear of a ComfortLite 2? The swivel assembly seems to just clip on a couple of mounts that are permanently attached to the headgear, so I was wondering if I could, in essence, make a ComfortLite 2 from my ComfortLite by just buying a CL2 headgear piece.

I guess I can answer my own question here... According to someone at cpap.com who answered the email I sent them with this query, the answer is no, the parts are not interchangeable. Oh well! :(

If anyone here knows different, please let us know!

I just removed the hose assembly from my CL2 and it attached just fine to my ComfortLite headgear. Just to be sure I put the Comfortlite assy on the CL2 and it fit just fine. I would call cpap.com back and ask if they have actually tried this. They may be able to test this for you. As far as I can see the hose assemblies and mounting brackets are identical, of course respironics may have changed something recently. I did check the web site and photos, everything looks the same to me.

Nice! That's why I asked here too. Nothing beats actually trying it to find the answer to something like this! :D

Thanks,
F
